Haws v Lesmahagow 1/8/15
/Well after 25 years the two 1990 OVD Scottish Cup finalist met in a pre-season friendly at Keir's Park.
The game started very quickly with the home side taking the lead in 30 secs from a well delivered corner by Adam Moffat which was headed into the nett by Lesmahagow 1-0.The game was played in a good spirit and the Haws had the wind advantage in the first half which they controlled well. Again the home side struck on the 13th Minute with a well worked goal finished by Aaron Hay 2-0. at this point the match settled down and both teams had good chances and played some attractive football. Although the home team were well on top and again scored in the 43rd minute to go 3-0 up. Once again a good goal scored by Aaron Hay. It stayed this way until Half Time.
The second half got underway with Lesmahagow having a spell and were awarded a penalty. This was excellently saved by Stuart Hall. Again with the Haws taking the play to Lesmahagow they again scored for the fourth time with the goal coming from Callum Adamson. 4-0. It was after this the visitors were reduced to 10 men for a second yellow and then the haws struck for a fifth and final time from the spot. Penalty taken by Adam Moffat. 5-0. The game was played in great spirit and we thank Lesmahagow for coming to play at Keir's Park.
